I guess everyone thought once or twice of having a homemade tattoo. It is cheap and even kids can have it done, cause no age is asked. Last week I met a friend of mine and noticed he had a tattoo on his left hand. He said his girlfriend did it for him using a self made machine. I have got interested in how one can make it at home and found the following (click the image to enlarge):

Well, if some of you think that a self tattoo machine is a good idea I must tell you that I have also come across the fact that they can use a first guitar string as a pin… Still, if some of you would like to give a try to make this this machine just for fun, I am willing to assist you in translating from Russian.

DO NOT use a guitar string. It is too wide and blunt, and causes tiny tears which create blurry images. If anything, solder a needle to the string. Better yet, just buy tatoo needles. The sharper the needle, the clearer the image will be.

Money and effort you need to build that self tattoo machine? It’s better then to buy cheap starter kit from e-bay, with all compitabile equipment with professional tattoo machine. I know, I have build 2 or 3 and ended with buying real one.
