Hawaiian Flower Tattoos

We continue to talk about Hawaiian flower tattoos. Recently we have spoken about Hawaiian magnificent hibiscus flower, and today we’ll continue to explore flora of this remote island and find outmore about exotic flower tattoos.

Take, for instance, the Anthurium, a great choice among Hawaiian flower tattoo designs. The flower tattoos looks like a heart due to its shape and color, red and bright. It symbolizes hospitality.

Orchids can have different color patterns and unique designs. It depends on the meaning it conveys as it can stand for a number of things such as strength, magnificence, beauty, love and luxury. The Dendrobium Orchids, in their turn, are very nice and smart popular with flowers shaped like butterflies. Orchid leis (necklaces) are often tattooed on the chest in a very realistic way.

The plumerias are also among the most popular Hawaiian flower tattoos and also can be used for making flower leis of different colors. In tattoo art they can be used alone or in small groups or in hibiscus tattoo designs to accentuate them. The flower acts as a symbol of hospitality and warmth.

There’s also a flower with a fascinating and striking name of “the Birds of Paradise.” As one can easily guess, it a symbol of joyfulness and paradise. It is bright and colorful and resembles a bird in flight.

Hawaiian Flower Tattoos

There are flowers to symbolize a particular island among the Hawaii as each of them has its official flower. A pink lokelani or pink cottage rose stands for Maui. The yellow ilima looks like a tiny hibiscus and is the official flower of Oahu. The Big Island is represented by a red lehua, which is at the same time a sacral flower to a Hawaii’s volcano goddess Pele.

You can add to your tat design some other elements that are associated with The Hawaii such as sea shells, sea waves or turtles. Other flowers of non-Hawaiian origin can also be incorporated. For men the inclusion of tribal styles and designs add a masculine touch to their Hawaiian flower tattoo. As to the places of your Hawaiian styled tattoos, they can be tattooed on a shoulder, hip, ankle of an arm.

David Henrie Tattoos

David Henrie TattoosAs you know, a lot of celebrities nowadays, pop-stars and actors wear tattoos of various designs and patterns, and still much more people, fans in particular, try to imitate them or at least learn something about their idols’ tattoos.

Take, for instance, David Henrie, a well-known American actor. He won the hearts of the audience after having played Larry on That’s So Raven, and Justin Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place. He comes from an Italian family and started his movie “carrier” at school age. He also has a brother who is an actor, too

As the majority of sources say, David Henrie wears three tattoos: one of them is an angel tattoo on his shoulder while the other two are quotes from Bible tattooed on his arms.

Henrie’s angel is a nice flying creature, beautifully painted with his wings spread in flight. In general, an angel is a symbol of devotion, love, spirituality, peace and faith and also is a defender of a human’s sole. Angels are God’s messengers, so lots of people are guided by their religious feelings when they decide to wear this kind of tattoo. But very often, angel tattoos serve for men as an image of their beloved. At the same time, when you meet a man with such tattoo on his shoulder, don’t be so naïve as to think that he’s an angel himself!)

David Henrie Tattoos

So far we can only guess what meaning Henrie ascribes to his tattoo. What we know for sure is that he was raised as a Roman Catholic.

Two other David Henrie tattoos speak in favor of that his faith was the main reason to choose angel tattoo design. Unfortunately there’s no information about the words written in them.

Wristband Tattoo Designs

Wristband Tattoo DesignsIf you have chosen the design of your future tattoo it means that it’s high time to decide what part of body will be decorated with it. There’re no definite rules about the correlation of tattoo pattern and their body “geography,” but still we all know that large tattoos are typically found on shoulders, thighs and back while little ones “settle” on arms or coccyx. Men tend to tattoo themselves with huge tattoos while women are likely to prefer tiny patterns, and so on..

Most frequently people tattoo their arms. The thing is that such tattoos are easy to show and to hide according to the state of mood.

Wrists are tattooed eagerly as well. This area is suitable for placing wristbands of every sort and kind as well as airy flower motives and small pictures. The latter pattern is used rarely as there’s not enough place on the wrist. But wristband tattoo designs are really popular as it is felicitous embroidery of your body. Firstly, it can be a great and stylish addition to your image. And secondly, it is easily hidden with watches if desired. But still be cautious - since the wrist is very close to the hand, your tattoo may be seen from under your clothing and, like any tattoo, it may frighten your current and future employer. So it is better to decide for a thin tat anyway.

Wristband Tattoo Designs

As to patterns, the choice is really rich, with tribal or Celtic tattoos being most common - their intricate patterns, elaborate knots, “woven” lines and so are magnificently mysterious and carry neutral meaning to other people. A Celtic band can be a great addition to your present Celtic tattoo (if you have one, naturally).

Chains, train tracks, symbols, stars, geometrical figures, hieroglyphs, and even readable scripts can also be used to adorn your wrist with a tattoo. Generally wristband tattoo designs give a look and feel of the real bracelet, with the only difference that you will wear it day and night all your life.

A Transmutation Circle Tattoo

A Transmutation Circle TattooThere has recently appeared a new trend in tattoo art – a transmutation circle tattoo design, which is especially popular among the representatives of a younger generation, anime fans.

A transmutation circle is a fictional element of manga and anime series Fullmetal Alchemist. It is a combination of circles, lines and alchemical symbols, but text written on them, as well.

The main character of the series is an alchemist Edward Elric whose little brother Alphonse has nearly died in an accident but Edward managed to save his life by transmutation. At the same time - as in the process you can gain something only by sacrifice something equally valuable – Edward lost much. That’s why the two brothers went travelling in order to find the Philosophers Stone that cab compensate for the lost.

Transmutation circles are drawn on gloves, or tattooed on hands and when a person who wears them snaps his or her fingers a spark is created, which means that reaction is initiated. And the desired action can be performed. Some characters of the series have an ability to control fire with the help of their transmutation circle tattoo or can initiate explosions. At the same time an alchemist can simply put the thing he wants to transmute in the centre of the circle or can draw it in the place where transmutation will be performed.

A Transmutation Circle Tattoo

Transmutation circle is not a source of energy, it is only a catalyst. It acts as a medium through which energy circulates between the alchemical source and the alchemist’s body. As the energy of an only person is not enough, in the Fullmetal Alchemist series there is one more source of it, the parallel universe where warring action of World War I take place and dying people provide large supplies of energy.

In the original manga there’s not such kind of the parallel world and its characters use alchemy without transmutation circles at all –just by clapping their hands of without movements at all.

So a transmutation circle tattoo is some  kind of a mythical tattoo that can show a person’s “identity,” namely manga or anime fun.
